How to be more social and make new friends
Okay, so you’ve just moved away to a new place away from all your friends and family and your about to attend University. You want to make new friends fast! According to websites that help with homework remember that many people are in the same boat as you, they too are keen to get their social life going.
1. Social networking Social networks like face book and twitter are becoming a great place to find special interest groups. Find a group of like minded individuals and students from your campus who you could network with and share your interests with. According to get answers to questions experts if you can’t find a group, go one better and create your own.

2. Join a club or group
Take a look at the University or community notice board and join up to something that takes your interest. This is a great place to learn, have fun and make new friends.
3. Don’t be afraid to speak to strangers
Most people are waiting for someone else to make the first move. Go on, toughen up and start a conversation with a stranger, what’s the worst that could happen? Starting with a complement or a similarity is a good starting point.
4. Smile more
People naturally gravitate towards people that are smiley and friendly looking. Who would you choose to speak to? the one who has a horrible scowl on their face or the one that looks bright and cheery? I know who I’d choose.
5. Look at the positives
No one ever gets far in life when all they do is look at the negatives. According to studydaddy stop drowning in your own sorrows and get out there and look at the positives of making new friends.
6. Fear of rejection
Not everyone wants to be your friend, don’t be afraid of rejection! Building a thick-skin will benefit you in your University life and your career.
7. Show your listening
I don’t personally know anyone that likes talking to a brick wall. Show your listening by asking questions, answering back, give eye contact, and nod every now and then.
